We help children, adolescents, adults, and older adults address mental health problems and improve their quality of life, all within a safe and welcoming environment. Many of those we serve may be experiencing life challenges, relationship issues, behavioral issues with a child or teen, and/or a mental illness.
Clifton T. Perkins Psychiatric Hospital
As Maryland’s maximum-security forensic psychiatric hospital, their mission is to provide the following services in a non-discriminatory basis: Quality assessment of recovery based trauma informed care for all patients, timely pretrial evaluations of defendants referred by the judicial circuit of Maryland and maximum-security custody of patients to ensure public safety.
Howard County's Recovery Oriented Services of Care (ROSC) Committee
Baltimore County, Garrett County, Harford County and Howard County held focus groups comprised of treatment providers, members of the recovery community and their families, and support service providers who were asked to identify treatment and recovery support services that exist in their communities, barriers to accessing those services, and services that are needed.

Living In Recovery
Living In Recovery (LIR) is a State Certified Nonprofit organization founded in 2010 by a group of volunteers committed to a dream of bringing the first certified Recovery Residence to Howard County, Maryland. LIR currently operates three Recovery Residences supporting men and women in early recovery. Since our inception, LIR has supported over 400 individuals, with 65% of our residents maintaining sobriety during their time in our program.

Food Stamps for Seniors on Social Security
Seniors and others who receive Social Security can indeed qualify for food stamps. For any adults who are over 60 or have a disability, there are two conditions that must be met. First, your net income must be equal to or less than the federal poverty line (FPL) – which varies by state. Second, your assets must be $4,250 or less.
